Happy Veterans Day!

 th_flag
I grew up in a household that was always proud to support our country and the men and women who gives their lives for our freedom. My Dad is a veteran and as a young girl I spent lots of time at the feet of other veterans who I have developed some treasured friendships. Because of this background Veterans Day just can not go un-noticed!
“But the freedom that they fought for,
and the country grand they wrought for,
is their monument to-day, and for aye!”

“This nation will remain the land of the free th_cid_001b01c896946fcde5b0279fa363D9Y
only so long as it is the home of the brave.”
~Elmer Davis
“Freedom is never free” ~Unknown

and I would call that patriot.” ~Gary Hart
“Courage is almost a contradiction in terms.
It means a strong desire to live th_american-flag-new-york

                                        ~G. K. Chesterton

“In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” ~Mark Twain, The Notebook, 1935
